Suri Cruise Announces College Choice: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Daughter's Plans

Suri Cruise's Next Chapter

Suri Cruise, the celebrated offspring of Hollywood luminaries Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has recently made a thrilling revelation about her forthcoming plans. In a TikTok video that swiftly gained traction, Suri announced her decision to join Carnegie Mellon University in the approaching fall semester.

The video, which rapidly spread across the internet, was shared by a fellow student from LaGuardia High School. It captured Suri, lost in the rhythm of Hannah Montana’s “I’ll Always Remember You,” donning a crimson Carnegie Mellon sweatshirt with pride.

The caption of the TikTok read, “LaG commitment day.”

Tom Cruise, at 61, and Katie Holmes, at 45, welcomed their daughter Suri into the world in April 2006, a year post their acquaintance and a mere two months following their engagement. The duo tied the knot in an opulent Italian ceremony in November 2006, but their marital bliss was short-lived as Holmes filed for divorce in June 2012, after five years of togetherness.

As per reports from Page Six, Suri marked her 18th birthday in New York City the previous month, while her father was away in London.

Holmes has been vocal about her endeavors to protect Suri from the public glare. “Her protection has always been my utmost priority,” the Batman Begins actress confided in Glamour the previous April. “Parenthood is the most rewarding experience. She’s an exceptional individual.”

Holmes has also involved Suri in her professional pursuits. Suri lent her voice to “Blue Moon” for the opening credits of Holmes’ 2022 film, Alone Together, and also contributed vocals for her 2023 movie, Rare Objects.

“I aspire for her continual involvement in my films,” expressed Holmes. “Both instances stemmed from my passion for our industry and the familial bonds nurtured during projects. Her inclusion in my work is a testament to my love.”

In an introspective piece for Vogue Australia, Holmes reflected on their secluded life, cherishing their private moments during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Sewing, painting, and writing evolved into fulfilling activities. The innate rhythm of mother-daughter time emerged as the most cherished gift,” she penned in 2020.

During the pandemic, Holmes and Suri indulged in watching Dawson’s Creek together. Holmes was a mere 19 when she portrayed Joey Potter in the WB series from 1998 to 2003.
