Patrick Joins Mob War
Sylvester Stallone is preparing to step back into mob life — and this time, he won’t be running the streets of Tulsa alone.
The 79-year-old star returns as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi in season 3 of Tulsa King. This time, he faces a new threat: Robert Patrick joins the cast as Jeremiah Dunmire, a ruthless liquor kingpin who shakes up Dwight’s empire.
For Stallone, Patrick’s arrival feels more like a reunion than a challenge. The pair previously worked together on films like Cop Land and Spy Kids, and Stallone says that history makes their on-screen connection seamless: “Because we know each other, we can speak in shorthand,” he told Us Weekly. As Jeremiah Dunmire, Patrick becomes a formidable new rival whose empire-building ambitions put Dwight and his crew under even greater pressure.
While the acting reunion has fans buzzing, Stallone also reflected on how working in television has reshaped his career. Known primarily for decades of blockbuster films, he’s discovered that the relentless pace of streaming television demands a different stamina. The shooting schedules are faster, the rewrites more frequent, and the emotional beats sometimes sharper than those of traditional films. It’s an adjustment Stallone admits he didn’t fully expect, but one that has sharpened his craft as both actor and producer.
Beyond the camera, Stallone’s creative fingerprints are everywhere. As an executive producer and occasional writer, he often finds inspiration for the show in unexpected places — whether on a red carpet or mid-interview. That constant search for fresh angles, he believes, is what keeps Tulsa King from becoming just another mob drama.
With Patrick stepping into the mix and Stallone pushing boundaries both in front of and behind the camera, season 3 is shaping up to be its most unpredictable yet. Loyalties will be tested, new power players will emerge, and Dwight’s vision of building a criminal “family” in Tulsa may be on the verge of collapse.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see how the new rivalry unfolds. Tulsa King season 3 premieres Sunday, September 21, with new episodes streaming weekly on Paramount+.
