Globes Night Surprise
Hailee Steinfeld’s appearance at the 2026 Golden Globes came with both professional highs and a personal milestone—plus an unexpected celebrity moment she couldn’t wait to share with her husband, Josh Allen.
In the Friday, January 16 edition of her Beau Society newsletter, the 29-year-old actress detailed a brief but meaningful interaction with Adam Sandler at the ceremony, held Sunday, January 11. Steinfeld noted that she and Allen, also 29, are longtime fans of the comedian’s work, making the encounter especially memorable.
Steinfeld explained that Adam Sandler’s films are a constant presence in her household, making their interaction especially meaningful. During the Golden Globes, the comedian spotted her near the entrance, stopped to praise her work in Sinners, and even offered congratulations on her marriage to Josh Allen. The unexpected exchange left the actress eager to share every detail with her husband as soon as possible.
The evening marked Steinfeld’s first red carpet since confirming she is pregnant with her and Allen’s first child. Cradling her baby bump, she posed confidently for photographers while celebrating the success of Sinners, which won Cinematic and Box Office Achievement and Best Original Score from seven nominations. The film was directed by Ryan Coogler, with its acclaimed score composed by frequent collaborator Ludwig Göransson.
Allen did not attend due to NFL obligations, as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27–24 in their AFC wild card game. Still, the quarterback showed support by sharing a photo of Steinfeld on the red carpet via his Instagram Story, complete with heart-eye and drooling emojis.
Steinfeld confirmed her pregnancy last month through her newsletter. She and Allen began dating in May 2023, announced their engagement in November 2024, and married in Santa Barbara, California, in May 2025.
