Chappell Roan Walks
Chappell Roan has cut ties with talent agency Wasserman after its CEO and founder, Casey Wasserman, was named in newly released federal documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The Grammy-winning singer announced the move on Instagram on Monday, February 9, confirming she is no longer represented by the agency. “As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,” Roan wrote, signaling her stance on accountability and values-driven leadership. Roan, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, said the decision was made to protect her team and ensure her professional relationships align with her principles, further cementing her reputation as one of pop music’s most outspoken rising stars.
The move follows the release of documents last month that included email correspondence between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate. The emails, dated to 2003, were made public as part of a broader disclosure stemming from ongoing federal reviews of Epstein-related records. Wasserman, who also serves as president of the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, has acknowledged the emails and issued a public apology, stating that the exchanges occurred years before Maxwell’s crimes were known and denying any personal or business relationship with Epstein himself.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence after being convicted in December 2021 on multiple counts related to the sex trafficking of minors. Epstein, who faced federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy, died by suicide in August 2019 while in custody.
In January, the Department of Justice released new “Epstein files” under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by President Donald Trump in November 2025, making unclassified records tied to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell public.
The disclosures have intensified scrutiny across the entertainment industry, with Roan’s decision reflecting a growing push by artists to prioritize accountability and values. Her exit underscores how the Epstein revelations continue to ripple through Hollywood beyond the courtroom.
