Biography

Mr. Frank Mountcastle is co-head of Harris Williams’ Transportation & Logistics Group.

Career

Mr. Mountcastle has 25 years of investment banking experience and has completed over 150 mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions during his career. Mr. Mountcastle has extensive experience and relationships within the industry, having completed transactions with companies focused on third-party logistics, freight forwarding, truck brokerage, contract logistics and warehousing, trucking, intermodal, rail and rail services, marine services, automotive aftermarket services, and transportation equipment.

Prior to joining Harris Williams, Mr. Mountcastle was a managing director and co-head of the Transportation & Logistics Investment Banking Group at BB&T Capital Markets. Mr. Mountcastle was responsible for growing the Transportation & Logistics investment banking practice and completed over 100 transactions. He also has prior experience with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. and with First Union Corporation (both now part of Wells Fargo).

Education and personal life

Mr. Mountcastle earned an M.B.A. from The Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and has an undergraduate B.A. in History also from the University of Virginia. Mr. Mountcastle lives in Richmond with his wife and three children.
