Stella Nina McCartney is an English fashion designer known for pioneering sustainable and cruelty-free luxury fashion. The daughter of musician Paul McCartney and photographer and animal rights activist Linda McCartney, she has built her career around the same environmental and ethical values championed by her parents.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins in London, McCartney launched her eponymous label in 2001 in partnership with the Gucci Group (now part of Kering). From the outset, her brand stood out for its commitment to using vegetarian and animal-free materials, avoiding leather, fur and feathers while maintaining a high-fashion aesthetic.
McCartney quickly established herself as a leading voice in sustainable design, blending sharp tailoring with modern femininity. Her collections have been shown at Paris Fashion Week and worn by a wide range of high-profile figures across entertainment and fashion.
Beyond her main line, she has expanded into accessories, fragrance and collaborations. Since 2005, McCartney has partnered with Adidas to create performance-driven activewear, bringing her eco-conscious approach to sportswear and helping push sustainability further into the mainstream fashion industry.
Throughout her career, McCartney has remained a vocal advocate for animal rights and environmental responsibility, positioning her brand at the forefront of ethical luxury.
