Description
Nuveen New York AMT-Free Quality Municipal Income Fund (Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objectives are to provide current income exempt from regular federal, New York State and New York City income taxes and from the federal alternative minimum tax (AMT) applicable to individuals.
Its objective is to enhance portfolio value relative to the municipal bond market by investing in tax-exempt municipal bonds that the Fund's investment adviser believes are underrated or undervalued or that represent municipal market sectors that are undervalued. The Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in municipal securities and other related investments the income from which is exempt.
The Fund invests in various municipal securities, including municipal bonds and notes, other securities issued to finance and refinance public projects, and other related securities and derivative instruments. The Funds' investment advisor is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC.
