Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 24 achieved on 3 April 2023 and a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 196 achieved on 21 February 2022.
Rise Up The Rankings
Davidovich Fokina made his ATP main draw debut at the Grand Prix Hassan II in April 2019, where he came through qualifying before losing to Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets.
He then came through qualifying and reached the semi-finals of the Estoril Open, where he lost to
Pablo Cuevas in three sets.
Davidovich Fokina enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2020. He made it through to the fourth round of the US Open in New York, losing to Alexander Zverev in three sets. In the same year, he also reached the second rounds of both the Australian Open and French Open.
The Spaniard continued his promising progress in 2021 and reached the quarter-finals of the French Open, where he once again lost to Alexander Zverev.
