  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Financial Advisor, Executive Director, Business Development Officer, Vice President, Portfolio Manager or related occupation.
  • Position requires 3 years of experience in a related financial services position.
  • providing wealth management advisory services to high net worth Spanish-speaking clients in Latin America, specifically in Mexico
  • managing and developing client relationships and establishing strategies for acquiring new private clients, business development and risk management
  • working with portfolio construction and asset allocation among all asset classes including mutual funds (equity and fixed income), hedge funds, private equity, real estate, structured notes, bonds (corporate and sovereign)
  • selecting alternative investments such as cash, fixed income, equities, foreign currencies, commodities, and discretionary asset management on behalf of clients
  • formulating hedge fund and option strategies; evaluating global financial and economic factors and financial accounting reports to measure and track business and financial performance
  • working with offshore investors to develop comprehensive investment strategies and programs;
  • evaluating internal and external business and related financial data on current and prospective international clients
  • preparing and presenting verbal and written communications, reports and presentations
  • Must be fluent in Spanish. Must travel internationally to Mexico and Canada as necessary to perform duties.

Duties:
  • Serve as senior level liaison and facilitator between Latin American Financial.
  • Advisors, international booking centers and business areas of UBS in different jurisdictions (Switzerland, Canada, Mexico and Panama).
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and directly coach thirty (30) Latin American Financial Advisors to attain net new money targets abroad.
  • Oversee and check client accounts and ensure that Financial Advisors are utilizing the products and services that are the most efficient, add value and are relevant to their clients’ specific situations and jurisdictions, providing guidance and direction to Financial Advisors on how to improve portfolio performance and strengthen the client’s relationship with UBS.
  • Facilitate close relationships with U.S. advisors and UBS employees in different jurisdictions and create teams that can work together to attain net new money from different countries into the US.
  • Facilitate relationships between international advisors and domestic teams in order to serve international client’s needs within the U.S.
  • Review client accounts and advisors metrics in order to create stronger business plans to increase revenue and net new assets for every jurisdiction.
  • Travel with advisors to different jurisdictions to meet with clients in order to create synergy with local UBS employees and leverage from those offices, helping to increase net new assets.
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings with advisors and associates in order to give feedback and track their business plans, introduce U.S. advisors to third party centers of influence in different jurisdictions in order to position their teams with new clients, receive referrals, and net new assets.
  • Draw upon expertise of Latin American markets to manage complex cross border issues while accessing relevant experts and specialists to support Financial Advisors and their teams when needed.
  • Ensure all international products meet required standards and are cross border legally compliant.
  • Provide supervision to International Financial Advisors.
  • Attend meetings with Latin American clients as needed.
