Requirements for applicants
- 20+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Business Unit Management, Operations, Technology, Strategy, Transformation or Finance
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add to the overall organizational infrastructure and governance
- Relevant experience in managing large complex cross-organization functions
- Analytic ability, project management, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and understand themes and root causes of complex business issues
- Strong leadership skills and exemplary values role model, with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change
- Ability to engage at the senior management level and demonstrated communication experience at different levels of organization
- Experienced in driving change in a multi-country or global scope, ability to manage cultural differences and champion diversity
- Demonstrated ability to grasp and assimilate complex information throughout multiple business units and make or influence fact-based decisions.
Duties
The Chief Administrative Officer for ICG Operations is a senior management-level role responsible for the Global Administration and Planning of the ICG Operations organization. The position requires a senior candidate with exemplary leadership and management capabilities, who can oversee a variety of activities geared at keeping a ~$2.3Bn global Operations organization in financial, staffing and compliance control. This includes direct and matrix management of relevant resources globally across the four regions while building strong ties with the Finance, HR, Risk & Control, and Resource Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Head of ICG Operations, Senior Operations Leadership and Business Unit Managers across to ICG Operations to deliver:
Strategy Development
- Establish strategic end state goals for ICG Operations that are clearly articulated, communicated, and understood to ensure alignment across the organization. Set the values that inspire the organization and embody them. Develop mechanisms, with key performance indicators and governance meetings, to drive transparency on the progress towards goals and to ensure accountability among the leadership team.
Financial Management
- Manage financial reporting, analysis and forecasting activities, as well as the yearly budgeting processes for ICG Operations. Understand the complexities of the department P&L; allocable base, appropriate accruals and client allocations in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Imbed processes in the organization that ensure ongoing headcount is always accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, that the on boarding and termination of resources is well controlled. Be the lead for the department on its resource strategy.
Organizational Governance
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of programs, strategies, regulatory actions and provide financial and strategic input/analyses on issues affecting the organization such as contracts, budgets, financial reports, and financial trends
- Ensure senior management and executive level reporting requirements are met, inclusive of Monthly Business Reviews and Citi Executive Scorecard
Continuous Process Improvement
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the various functional teams to improve and automate all existing processes.
- Help drive assessments of processes for the Operations organizations with solid proposals for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to drive strategic improvements to execution
Employee Engagement
- Take the lead on the Organization wide communication strategy (e.g., town halls) in support of the vision and to maintain strong connectivity with the staff.
- Supporting our human capital efforts focused on improving our organizational culture through management of various strategic people initiatives
